Hailey Joy Kent was born on June 6th, 2006 to the proud parents Rick and Maria Kent. Welcomed by her older sister Heather, and also her older brother Ryan who was born just moments before. With a smile and face as sweet and precious as Haileys she was born to be a star.On October 5th, it was about to happen for her on the TV show According to Jim, but the day before was what would change Haileys life. In late September, Hailey had developed a fever and was informed that it was simply a stomach virus. By October 4th, 2006. Hailey still wasnt improving so returned to there doctor, where an on call doctor was there. That day, at only 4 months old, Hailey was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL)
Being sick doesnt stop this brave girl from enjoying life. Hailey is a beautiful, incredibly happy, and well tempered baby despite her diagnosis. Her radiant smile, infectious laughter and constant chatter, pull at the heart strings of all who meet and know her. Like most kids Haileys age, she really enjoys watching Baby Einstein.
